Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Auckland, New Zealand, although spent my twenties in London before heading to sunny Cali 5 years ago.
What is your Nickname?
Pinky. After spending 9 winters in London (where everyone wears black) I developed a strange obsession with wearing bright colors to bring a little cheer into my life!
How would you describe your playlist for class?
Happy, uplifting, dance-centric, with a smattering of tasty cheese thrown in.
If you could describe your class in 3 words, what would it be?
Sunshine meets sweat
What is your go to Karaoke song?
I don’t sing karaoke and am mortified by the prospect. Strangely, I can only sing without hesitation when on a bike or with weights in my hand. And then it’s “Living on A Prayer” by Bon Jovi.
What is your favorite inspirational quote?
I have far too many in my brain at once. Favorites include…
“Everything in moderation. Including moderation.”
“Never fry bacon naked.”
or (from my fave movie of all time- the original “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”)
“We have so much time and so little to see. Wait a minute! Strike that, reverse it.”
What is your guilty pleasure?
Ridiculously expensive chocolate from foreign countries.
Also, rewatching the original “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” whilst hugging my senior dog.
What do you love most about teaching spinning®/yoga/pilates?
I’m privileged to be able to dispense endorphins freely and help people leave with a little extra happy in their day, along with a great and challenging work out.
